Who we help

CARAT at present supports around 20 individuals and small animal welfare societies in Greece - the grass roots societies that do so much for the stray animals and yet who are often overlooked for bigger organisations.

Our primary focus is to promote and fund sterilising campaigns - we strongly believe that sterilisation and education are the only way to work for a future where no animals are forced to struggle for survival on the harsh streets. We are a small enough charity that we have an excellent and close personal relationship with our supported rescuers.

We also see working in conjunction with other charities as a great way to enhance the aid that can be given where it's needed most. We have worked with both Greek Animal Rescue and Action Aid for Animals to enable us to spread our help even further afield and to even more animals.
